To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Tourbillon Souverain, F.P. Journe presents a new and highly innovative interpretation of its iconic watch. François-Paul Journe, renowned for his originality, precision, and respect for horological tradition, has been fascinated by the tourbillon since his youth, creating his first entirely hand-made tourbillon at age 20 and introducing landmark wristwatch tourbillons in 1991 and 1999, including the Tourbillon Souverain with remontoir d’égalité.

In 2003, a new generation of the Tourbillon Souverain debuted with a natural deadbeat seconds and 18k rose gold movements—an industry first. For this anniversary edition, Journe introduces a vertical tourbillon cage, designed to maintain constant performance whether the watch is flat or on its side. The tourbillon, combined with a remontoir d’égalité and deadbeat seconds, completes one revolution every 30 seconds, enhancing both precision and visual impact.

Light is emphasized through a mirror-polished, cone-shaped ring and a secondary reflector on the movement side. The dial features 4N rose gold bridges with clous de Paris guilloché and, for the first time, an enamel hour dial at 3 o’clock. The watch offers an 80-hour power reserve at 12 o’clock, small seconds at 6 o’clock, and the remontoir at 7 o’clock. Housed in a 42 mm case, it is available in platinum or 18k 6N gold.
