The 5980/1A-001 is a historically significant model, originally released in 2006 for the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus as the first in the collection to feature a chronograph. It is defined by its 40.5mm stainless steel “porthole” case and integrated bracelet. The dial features a blue-grey gradient with horizontal embossing and a unique “bullseye” mono-counter at 6 o’clock, which houses both the 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph registers. It is powered by the self-winding Caliber CH 28-520 C, a flyback chronograph movement that utilizes a vertical clutch system.
